Programs

Many Point is your outdoor laboratory and your key to advancement. Most advancement opportunities are offered during three sessions each morning. However, a variety of merit badges and special advancement opportunities exist during the remainder of the day as well.

First Class Adventure

Scouts working on advancement requirements for Tenderfoot through 1st Class can participate in First Class Adventure. Many of the outdoor requirements are covered in this daily, interactive 2-hour help session.

 

First Class Adventure Aquatics

Scouts working on aquatic requirements for Tenderfoot through 1st Class can participate in First Class Adventure Aquatics. In addition to swimming skills and rescues, Scouts will also practice knots and lashing requirements.

 

Many Point Magic Studios                                                                           

Introducing the Many Point Magic Studios—a special opportunity for Older Scouts and Venturers at Many Point Scout Camp. This program is a unique advancement opportunity, featuring Moviemaking, Radio, Photgraphy, and Journalism merit badges. Participants attend during morning advancement time (immediately following breakfast until just before lunch) Monday through Friday, all week.

Magic Studios members will have an all-access press pass to capture the Many Point story—see the inside of the climbing tower to get that perfect video from the top! Images, videos and stories created by Magic Studios members will be used to create a weekly Many Point newspaper, content for Facebook, YouTube, and more.

Participants will work on and earn the following:

  • Moviemaking Merit Badge
  • Photography Merit Badge
  • Radio Merit Badge
  • Journalism Merit Badge
  • Produce short videos for the Many Point YouTube page
  • Write, edit, and publish a weekly camp newsletter

Special Advancement Opportunities

 
BSA LIFEGUARD* - Adults and Youth can become a certified lifeguard.
BSA Aquatics Supervision Swimming & Water Rescue - Youth (16+) and Adults will gain the guarding skills necessary for troop-run beaches.
BSA Aquatics Supervision Paddle Craft Safety - Youth (16+) and Adults will gain the guarding skills necessary for float trips.
BSA Mile Swim - Build up your endurance before swimming a mile to earn this award.
Snorkeling BSA - Explore the underwater world of Many Point Lake while earning this award.
Kayaking BSA* - Demonstrate your kayaking skills to earn this award.
Board Sailing BSA* - Demonstrate your sail boarding skills to earn this award.
Firem'n Chit - Become certified to work safely with fire.
Totin' Chip - Prove that you know how to deal with knives and axes safely.
